E-aghapy, greek or coptic?

Hello

I was wondering why the hymn E-aghapy is written in both greek and coptic language?
By example:

[coptic]nem `tpolic `mPennou][/coptic]= and the city of our God"

is that something common in hymns, to use both languages in one hymn? And are there more hymns written like this?

    i would say that it's just something common. many of out hymns are that way.

    Yeah your right, majority is indeed greek.

    But i was wondering how come that it was mixed with coptic, is it possible that the coptic part has been added later?

    the greek part is taken directly from the gregorian anaphora ("The love of God the Father, the grace of His only-begotten Son Jesus Christ...ETC). The coptic part was slammed on and they composed the music for it as a whole. so the coptic was added for the pope and some of the greek sections too.
