What does Sabaoth mean?

Hey everyone.
I was just wondering if anyone here knew what the word Sabaoth meant.
I know that on the Liturgy we say "Holy Holy Holy, Lord God of Sabaoth..." but do not know what/where Sabaoth is.
If anyone knows, that would be great.
In Christ,
Daniel

It means 'hosts' or 'armies'.
So it is the Lord of Hosts, the heavenly hosts.
