Hi, i was wondering if somebody could tell me the words in coptic that are said before the Gospel reading in the agpeya prayers. And also, how does the distribution of the psalms work?
Beginning of the hour the priest says: [coptic]`P[oic nai nan, `P[oic nai nan,[/coptic] Lord have mercy. The prayer of the --- hour...
Before the Gospel: [coptic]Doxa ci `o :eoc `ummon[/coptic] = Glory to You, O Lord
the psalms are just the psalms. normally the first priest says the first psalm and the 2nd says the 2nd psalm and whatever is left is distributed on the deacons and people outside. or sometimes some priests, in small liturgies in retreats just say a selection (or all) of the psalms with the people outloud for unity and understanding purposes.
