Hi :)
I would like to know if any of you could recommend a good Arabic translation of the Old and New Testaments and where I could purchase a copy? Preferably in hardcover or leather/imitation leather.
I am beginning to learn Arabic for my master's degree and what better way to practice than to spend time in God's Word? Plus it will help during liturgy when I visiting my local Coptic Orthodox Church ;)
Blessings,
Justin

the english is NIV but i don't know what translation the arabic is.
i found no major differences so far with the arabic Bible read in the liturgy (don't know which translation that is either!), but for a beginner (i am still in this category!) a parallel translation is essential, so u can just look over at the english instead of using the dictionary every 2 or 3 words!
reading the Bible and attending arabic liturgy (ideally with english translation on the screen) is definately the best way to study arabic :)
The page is in Arabic but all links are in English, just hover the mouse on any link.

I have read that the translation produced by the Sharif Bible Society is easier to read and comprehend for those just beginning to learn Arabic.

and there should be the church library...
Sorry I cannot recommend a Bible/book I never heard about.
The Arabic SVD is very close to what the COC members generally use at home.
It also contains ALL the canonical Scripture (the NKJ based versions do not).
You may also ask about audio Bible approved resources to supplement your library.
